Hats off to Gordon. I've subscribed to PWA since 1992 (I think), and every issue is a treat. I read the current issue this weekend and it was like Gordon had interviewed me first before he designed his dream truck although I would have put the boom on the rear of the bed. Then I read the Prepardness article by R.L. Biggs, President, Fargo Motors, 1941 and learned who coined the phrase "keep them rolling". Thank you Gordon for your continued dedication to these trucks. Yesterday I was asked to bring one of my two trucks (the running one - M37) to a friend's house to show another guy who I was told would appreciate it. Turns out he is an artist who locates abandoned or non running trucks parked as they were years ago and paints them. He had images of a few that he's done and I unfortunately no dodges. But the paintings were something else. He took about 15 pictures of mine and said I have to do this. I told him what he really needs is Gordon's W300, a WM, as well as this M37 and that there is a market for any Dodge paintings he would do. Then my friends mother shows up not knowing I'd be there but had brought along a hard cover Truck and Engine repair manual from Motors, copyright 1969. She intended to leave it there for me to pick up whenever I came along. So anyway it was a day of truck appreciation, and thanks Gordon, Joe, and this painter if he goes ahead and honors these trucks with a portrait of American history. If you don't already have a subscription to PWA, all I can say is that you're missing a big part of this hobby. Long post I know but what the heck, I had something to say. It's now warm enough to use body filler in New England, and so again, Gordon's PWA comes through with an article from Ron Reichhart on body repair, so I guess I better get the WM doors done now. Oh yeah, at the end of the day I took my friend's family for a ride in the woods. Got mud and scratches on my new paint. It felt great.
