As seen on the '62 WM300 in the post below by Marty. They look like the good old Goodyear Custom Xtra Grips. I would even settle for the directional Firestone Super All-Traction or the Power King Premium traction.
What do the tire companies do with the molds once they discontinue a tread pattern in a particular size? Not to be premature, but I brought this subject up with one of the major Power-Wagon parts suppliers. They indicated that if they could get the molds that they know of a tire company that would make the tires. Anyone here on the Forum that just happens to work for Goodyear, Firestone, or Cordovan?
I think those old tread patterns just look right on a Power-Wagon. I believe the currently available radial mud and snow treads, or even street treads, are probably better all around. But, I don't want my old truck to wear the same tread as the trucks of every kid down the street who is running Monster/Gumbo/Boogers on their toy Chevy/Suzuki/Nissan/Sample Truck.
