Has anybody ever had this happen?

Last night I was bolting the camshaft timing sprocket onto the hub that's pressed on the camshaft. As I tightened one of the bolts, I felt the resistance drop, so I took off the sprocket and found that the hub had broken, right through the bolt hole.

I wasn't tightening it very hard, but apparently it was hard enough to break that piece.

Just wondered if this is a particularly weak piece.
