360cu in oil problem

Upon firing up the new motor from"Evergreen"
we noticed that oil was spewing from between the filter and adapter. We removed and replaced (R2)the adapter and filter with new.
We tried again but with the same results. Pressure gage in truck starts showing pressure just b4 it blows out. Also when trying to prime the system with a drill and driver we never did see oil come up through the pushrods! PLEASE HELP.
