Last winter, while surfing on Alternator conversions, I found a Ford Tractor Forum.
They go into detail on the high rpms needed to get it charging. They have a simple wire change to eliminate that problem. My problem is I can not find the Ford Tractor Forum where it was. Mabey you can.
I used a GM 105 amp alternator, charging wire thru my amp meter, exciter off my ignition switch. It works great, just like a normal alternator install on a GM truck.
