I don't know who says that about the 318LA, it NEVER had mor eHP or torque than the baby Hemi 318, just an old wives tale, unless they count a 318LA bored out to the 360 Ha!Ha!
I agree about the vintage part, I have a 375 HP, 440 with a 727 that I was going to put into the W200, the more I thought about it the more I leaned towards rebuilding the stock Poly, which is what I did, with 300+ HP and loads of torque ( intake, carb, headers and cam). I'd love to bring it to Hollister, ...if I only had the body back on!!ha! I'll bring pictures! Some people claim that the Poly will breath better than the Hemi, I try to find a 392 driver to race to confirm that! At the Spring Fling last weekend, a guy had a 392 Hemi installed into a Sweptline, real sweet!
