I used never seize on the backing plates when I put them together, only on the rub points. The shoes are the originals. They have good thickness and boy they sound sick. I hate pulling it all apart again. The adjusters work on a cam type affair. Two 3/4 bolts with springs behind them to adj. They seem to tighten no matter which way they are turned. Any advice on the adjustment for the the front?--Thanks for the help---Mark---
