agreed. Can't speak to the humanitarian situation. I can say the generally as a country becomes more wealthy and receives modernization - the laws to protect people improve. However if a country is outcast - no improvement is seen. I agree with what you say. I wish it were not that way. However - western influence and the global economy will revolutionize their norms - eventually.
There are some fine products coming out of China that are built in factories that are not as you describe.
