I have a friend with parts from a 1957 PS unit from a D100/D200/W100/W200, and he needs to know how long the steering column tube is to replicate that part of it.
He needs a pretty exact number from the bottom of the tube(where the clamp is) to the top of the tube(where the steering wheel is).
If you have a 57 with PS please measure your column(maybe run a thin wire down the length and measure the wire?) and post or E-mail me the answer.
By the way a 57 W300(FF) style column is different, and the length may not be the same, so we can not use that as a guide.
The tube is different after 57 as well, so it must be a 57 D100/D200/W100/W200.
Thanks for any help you can provide!
Eric
