They are designed for totally different uses. Yes they both are slow and under powered by today's standards. Both are work trucks but the PW is really a heavy duty work truck and the Willys are definitely a light duty truck. Both have different markets that they were aimed at. I could list a buch of strong and weak points based on what you want it for. There is also a lot of personal tastes in which is the better truck.
In my world Willys seem to be more prone to rust. I have been looking for a good wagon body for several years. They are always rusted out in the floor area. I have seen a lot of PWs in that time and they do not have as severe rusting. Mechanical parts for the Dodge are somewhat more available. But a lot more aftermarket parts are available for the jeep. Good body parts are hard to find for both. Unless you are talking about the standard Jeep then lots of parts are reproduced. Not many PW parts are reproduced but there seems to be more now than 10 years ago.
