Fred,
I would freshen the engine.
- Re-ring with Perfect Circle or Power Seal Chrome rings, if you can get them. Just give the cylinders a good hone and they will seat fine. Make sure you take off the ring ridge at the top of the cylinder before pushing your pistons out.
- Put in hardened exhaust valve seats. Intake if you can afford it
- New water distribution tube
- Rebuilt oil pump
- Cam bearings
- Nitide the crank for hard surface/long wear
- Timing chain/gears
- New motor mounts
- New front/rear crank seals
If you don't want to do all the above, then
New motor mounts,
Cam Bearings
Water distribution tube
Timing chain/gears
New front/rear crank seals
