What hooked me was when my grandfather bought a 47 WDX back in the mid '70's to move his tractors around with for the mowing business that he had. I thought that it was the neatest truck around. Right before I left for the Army in Aug. of '77, he bought a newer model Power Wagon (a 76 or 77 I think). I asked him what he was gonna do with the old one and he said why. I told him that I would like to buy it and he told me that it would be there when I got home from the Army. Well he pasted away before (in '86) I got home from the Army but I did end up with the truck in the end. When I left the Active Army in '91 I trailered it with some of my other belongings to Alaska where I still reside. The truck is currently under going repairs. I'm in the middle of rebuilding a 218 engine for it, I have new tires for it, new brake lines and an ebrake cable, 4.89 ring and pinion gear sets on order, and so on. I'm hoping to have it all back together sometime this year, but I thought the same thing last year to. Robert
