If your transmission casting number is 38711 (After-type-transmission) then you have the correct tranny but wrong cover. These trannies were also used in 1941-47 trucks that required the bosses on the cover for the e-brake. Other than the bosses it's the same. If you want the correct cover, cut off the bosses and grind them down to the top level of the cover.
There are three bosses for bolts on the passenger side of the tranny that the e-brake and TC levers are mounted to using spacers.
