The SD-33's max at 4000 RPM! The motor is still in production, and has been for at least about 35 years. I went to the Binder Bulliten site, I read how an SD-22 4-cylinder version wend 350K before it needed a rebuild, and about several SD-33's that went over 250K. I know most considered the SD-33 a dog in Scouts, but the power to weight ratio really was no worse and sometimes better than NA 6.2/6.9/7.3 and early 6BT Dodges.
