Due to the slight cut back of the top flange on the frame rail, I decided to weld. To consider only bolting would be marginal. The cut back would not allow enough steel around the hole on the inside edge.
I measured every hitch this Uhaul had, and he had a huge stock. This one was the only thing he had in stock that would come close to working well. It has the frame rail spacing as well as the correct drop from the top of the frame rail to under the rear cross member.
There was one other number that had the correct frame spacing, however it only had .500" drop. Traditional mounting under the frame, still would not clear the rear cross member.
I am convinced that no one makes a commercial hitch that you can just hold up to the frame, mark, drill and bolt.
I did not take any pictures before I started, my mistake. Email if you have any questions I can answer.
