The WC-63 had a longer frame at the front than the WC-62 so a winch could be mounted on the WC-63. WW II Dodge trucks did not use winch frame extensions; instead, they used different (longer) frames for winch models than were used on the non-winch models. If the winch is missing from an original winch model WW II Dodge military truck, you will see perhaps 11 inches of frame rail ahead of the radiator. The non-winch WC-62 may have only 3 or so inches ahead of the radiator for the flat one piece bumper to mount.
