In my opinion, NDTs are best in mud. They are not very good in snow and are useless on ice, but for mud they're great. The very open tread throws out sticky mud almost as well as a tractor tire. 9.00X20s are common because they're standard on the M35 series and M105 trailers. You should be able to get good used ones for $50-$75 from a surplus dealer, maybe even with rims included, so keep that in mind with whatever genso charges.
