I just received the build card from Stelantis for my truck (Serial # 83942929). The serial number is in the range of trucks built during 1954 according to information on this website. Stelantis states that build card information is not available for 1955 (and newer) vehicles. The build date on the build card shows a build date of January 2. This suggests that the truck is a 1955, consistent with the title documentation I have from previous owners. So I am confused. Is there an expert out there somewhere that can explain this apparent discrepancy? Is there a source to provide me some assistance on decoding other data contained on the build card (paint color, dealer, etc.? Thanks, in advance.
