Jerry, some of us become unexplainably attached to our vehicles, tools, and home. And while others may not understand, or attain the same relationship to what they view as simply material things, our attachment is undeniably a comforting thing to us.
I have owned the same Power-Wagon since 1980, the same home since 1986, and tools that were my Grandfathers and his father before him. I would be honored to be the next caretaker of your truck...if only I could.
However, my having experienced how the past 45 years have flown by at an ever increasing rate, I see myself in your position very shortly. I now find myself searching out trusted caretakers for items I have treasured and now wish a new home for.
It is not easy. The struggle does deepen our friendships though. Remember, even after you part with your truck, you will always be welcome here as a respected member of our family.
