One thing I would mention that may save others some time and grief. Start the whole process by getting your door gaps right or as good as possible. Some of the later stampings were so bad it's impossible , without cutting or welding, to get "correct".

I fought mine for about a month trying to get them right. Bending hinges, adjusting and nothing would help. After taking a break, I just stared at and said to myself, "It's just like the cab is bent." Lightbulb! It was. Portapower on a 45 degree angle in the door opening and in 5 minutes, everything came in.

The cabs are really pretty weak and these trucks were used hard most times. Don't assume things are in spec as they may not be. I learned the hard way.

Once the cab is right, you can use that as a baseline to work the rest out. It will save you time in the long run by not having to readjust for a cab correction.
