I tried that method at one point on my 6x6, but it raised the back of the cab high enough that the rocker panel was noticeably out of parallel with the running board. I didn't like that look, and I couldn't adjust the rear of the running board because it is bolted to the rear fender. So I raised the radiator half an inch.
