That was a concern of mine when John Low pointed out that my rings were installed "wrong". In typical John Low fashion, he didn't mix words....
I found out though that mine anyway seem to drain fine as long as I keep them clean and keep dirt and garbage from collecting inside and plugging up the joint between the rings and buckets.
