So...... I checked my 53 PW and sure enough, there are rivets above and below the arm inside the pillar. Seriously thought I had completely dismantled my truck during its restoration. Didn't take the kick panel off to see if the rubber is still there. Will do so soon. Thanks Tim Holloway!
