Here's the position of the bed supports on my 1950 B2-PW126 with first series bed (four stake pockets, sloped top rail, straight fender wells. This should apply to second and third series beds as well.
1. U channel, reinforced boltholes, scalloped bottom rail, channel facing rearward, bolted to support brackets on frame.
2. U channel secured only to bed side panels, channel facing cab.
3. Flat cross support on pillars, bolted to frame.
4. Flat cross support on pillars with attached rubber spacers.
5. U channel with reinforced bolt holes, channel facing rearward, bolted to frame.
6. Small U channele, scalloped bottom rail, channel facing cab, ends secured to bedsides, accepts tailgate hinge brackets.
All supports mount with the small holes on top rail to accept skid strip bolts. Note that adjacent skid strips bolt to opposing sides of the flat supports (so as to distribute weight evenly?) Also note that the gas tank straps must be attached to underside of angle iron cross support or tank height will interfere with #4.
Hope this helps. Now if I could just get around to welding the new angle on my bedsides, I could get my bed together!
