Stereo location in a Townie

I have a 59 W-100 Townie. I was out at the local discount auto supplier (Pep Boys) and bought a speaker enclosure for $35. It is about the size of a trombone case and is free standing which means I can just sit it in the back and it should be loud enough to hear.

Now I need to buy a receiver and figure out a place to mount it. Under the dash is already taken by a big CB unit and the glovebox is out because I already have plans for the space. Has anyone out there seen any sort of a enclosure type device that I could mount on the floor in back of the shifter? I will tolerate drilling a few small holes for this project, but Im not going to do any major fab work for this one.
