We just moved to a new house also. Given that you are going to be moving by the end of the year, I suggest going with Vaughn's comment that this transfer case is probably usable. Just put some oil in it and use it, you have enough to do to build the house and get the PW back together. After you get moved you can dive back into the Xfer case. When you dive back in, consider changing to straight through power so the transfer case uses the least power and doesn't heat up. :)
