You can get a PS pump in. I have a WC53 with a 327 and was able to install a PS pump. It is tight with the shroud but it fits. You need a short water pump and associated brackets. The longer water pump and brackets will not work. I had the added difficulty of no holes being drilled in the front of my heads to mount brackets. It took me some time to find a short nosed pulley for the PS pump.
