Just me, but I hate when they put later gen rims, on 1st gen ram. The back spacing is different, and makes the wheel stance narrower. JMO I think they look goofy, with 2 gen or 3 gen rims on a 1st gen.
Also the dowel pin is more of concern to be replaced on 1994 and up trucks. Granted 1st gen should have it done also at some point, but they were very rarely a problem. 1994 and up trucks had a larger/heavier injection pump that caused more stress on the timing cover housing.
I've owned many 1st gens with over 300k on them and dowel pin was still firmly planted in place. I've seen 1994-1998 trucks loose the pin in under 80k.
