I’m not sure what’s up down thar in the US. In Canada anyone that sells automotive paint will color match any color to a perfect match, every time. So long as you have a wiper cover or something with undamaged paint…any paint supplier can match it. I mean that’s what they do. I’d never buy paint from anyone not capable of matching colors. I just had Mustang grey matched in single stage eurethane for a sweptline I’m restoring. I’m sure any supplier down your way does it. Not an auto parts store or some fly by night paint store but any actual autobody supply company. They’d be out of business if they couldn’t mix paint perfectly from a sample. I’ve never seen paint mixed to a paint code that turned out even close. They change the tinter formulations too often & now with water based paints & all the other kooky products people doing insurance repairs would be screwed if they couldn’t get perfect matched colors.
