I'll be getting into that more now that I know the mechanical timing is okay. Tonight, though, I pulled the fuel pump, which I had rebuilt when I got the machine probably 20 years ago, and it's an absolute mess of crud and gunk, no doubt from sitting with stale ethanol gas on it all this time. I have it pretty much apart at this point, but it's not looking good. Of course that's not why it wouldn't run at all, but it will be one more thing to deal with. It does show spark, so if the condenser is bad, it's not terribly bad. And I already threw a new coil on it, just because the old one was all rusty. Maybe I should put the old one back on just in case it likes that one better somehow. I'm picking away at it, but the weather is not great for working outdoors and it's supposed to start snowing for real pretty soon.
