That is great info! This site is amazing. Do you know if the factory ever resolved the problem? In other words, do all years benefit from this 1/2 inch adjustment or is something that was 1955 and earlier models? I wonder if my 1958 is in need of this or is there a factory applied 1/2 inch spacer that was installed....? I'll have to look.
