I have done many 230s with hi perf cams. never ran out of room with the .075 head shaving and cams that I used. this one though I might go higher on lift than the old ones. I don't have the specs I used in the past anymore but I think were only about .400. stock is .370. I may want to go up to .430 or higher. gaskets are about .060 so should be plenty of room
