Adding sound to an electric vehicle to prevent people from walking out in front of them is probably not a bad idea. But, if electric vehicles prove to be superior to internal combustion propelled vehicles, as indicated by those elected who have only our best interests in mind, then I feel that making an electric vehicle replicate the sound an inferior mode of transportation is demeaning and an insult to the technology.

I suggest that they should give them a more fitting sound. Maybe the theme song from the animated TV cartoon - The Jetsons.
