When Tim Holloway swapped the 251 engine for the 230 that was originally in my M37, we removed the brackets that are spot welded on to the side of the radiator. Then welded the brackets back on about 1" or 1.5" behind where they were originally. That moved the radiator forward by that 1" - !/5". Between that and trimming the radiator shroud a bit we gained enough room for the 2" longer engine.
