You don't. If the title has a true serial number that is within the range of the vehicle that you need a title for, you use your stamp dies, purchase an aftermarket metal tag, and then you now have a matching numbers vehicle.

Doing it the 'right' way is the correct way, but the DMV makes it so da%n difficult for you to give them money, that its actually enjoyable to do it the easy way. Wrong? the whole registration system is wrong...
