Overflow tank for non-pressurized cooling system

Guys thanks again for the info on the cons of pressurizing my cooling system, it will NOT be pressurized!
That brings up another question though. I need to get an overflow tank that fills from the bottom, please excuse my extreme lack of knowledge on a non pressurized system but with this overflow tank I understand it will push the expanding coolant into the overflow tank but will it also draw that coolant back into the radiator as it cools down? It appears according to my manual that at one time my truck did have this overflow tank?
