no, Kerosene is a highly refined fuel oil clear in color one of the earliest products from crude oil replacing whale oil for lamps and heating in the late 1800s. Diesel is a less refined product from crude, diesel comes in several grades like gasolene does, there is bunker oil that is very heavy and used in large ships boilers and was used for steam locomotives, then there is diesel #2 more refined (aka summer diesel because it is not wax free enough to prevent gelling in winter) and there is diesel #1 (aka winter diesel it is highly refined to remove more wax and gels at a lower temperature) now off road or ag diesel is fuel that is sold tax highway and excise tax free since it is not being used on road, only for industrial, farming, construction use etc. it is dyed RED so it can be identified as OFF ROAD only. Regular fuel is dyed green, blue, or natural golden color and is sold with excise and highway use taxes in the price. It is illegal to use red fuel on highway and if a DOT officer looks in your tank and the fuel is RED its gonna cost you plenty! Otherwise there is no difference in the fuels except cost!
