I have to weld some inner door skin on one door and outer door skin on the other. Since I will not have access to the inside of the door once I weld the skins, I am thinking of putting a flange on one side of the sheet metal so that water inside the door does not accumulate on a weld on in the seam. I am also thinking that the sheet metal will have less tendency to warp while welding. I have been stitch welding all the sheet metal and will do so also on the skins.
Geez, stitch welding is a time consuming process. Every time you make a run, you have to reclean before the next run.
