I like the pumpbelow the alt, so leakage won't effect the alt. And I don't like to use head bolts for bracetry. And modern alts are smaller too.Pic of pump with remote hydraulic reservoir. The reservoir came w/the hydo boost from a C30 step van. Reservoir is the round black can, will probably get mounted to the radiator tie rod, or the block. The total oil capacity is greater than the canned ham type. One return line to reservoir, one to back of pump.
Saginaw pump is from a Volvo, they used a fat belt too.
