46wdx fan belt pulley

i have a 46 wdx w/a water pump that has an xtra belt groove on the fan side.is this indicative of a previous mech. govenor or more likely a replacement part?/swap?were they all like this for dealer retrofits? this truck seems remarkably orig. in some respects and drastically changed in others. any clues?
