would the ind7/237 long block flattie be the best repower for someone looking to uppower their powerwagon and maintain the flathead dodge design. I am thinking of using a 237 that i have with a philips/isky cam, hei distributor, alternator, etc. i will have head milled a bit to increase compression and have a stock exhaust manifold split by a company that does that for chevy 6s. my thinking is that the 237/251/265 block can rev higher than the 218/230 because it doesnt have offset rods. the 237 has the shortest stroke and therefore the highest rpm capacity. with a small 2 barrel carb, i think this engine with its improved breathing would be a BIG improvement over a 230. what do you think.
