power steering

Has anyone put the power steering conversion on a flat fender?,that has a chevy v8?my stock column is rather trashed (like beyond repair)I was concerned about clearance.WE THINK were going to 20"or maybe 22.5" wheels.so the non armstrong steering would help too.
