Another Pitman Arm Question

Is the ball end supposed to be straight up and down in relation to the splined hole end? I have two, one is straight up and down, the other is offset and slightly twisted. I am thinking that the twist and offset is not factory but has been tweaked somehow. Appreciate the help as always!
