If your buying from a Military parts dealer on E-Bay or the internet and not just someone who is diddling in parts, you can be assured your getting a NOS part as long as they are saying it's NOS. There are those that list "rebuilt" when the part is just cleaned and painted, so you do have to be careful. Joe's Motor Pool is a legit company on the internet and I'm not pushing his items, or suggesting you purchase anything, only to point what transmission you want to look for that is synchronized and will work with your truck. If you are interested in a synchronized trans, look at Dave C. to help you, he's on the West coast so shipping will be less. He is also a great guy to deal with.
