79 D-150 Long bed fitment

In reviewing the search pages, I understand the differences between the Utiline and Sweptline beds, the years they were made, and the various lengths.

I have located this 8ft x 4ft bed that belongs to a 79 D150- would this bed also fit a 2nd series PW from 52? I would remove the original fenders and place my PW fenders on this bed..
