I've got some soldering to do on an oil pan. I have done some soldering on plumbing and can usually get good bond water tight connection on the first try 80% of the time.
For this project I am resoldering a slant six oil pan dipstick tube holder. It is the first time I have tried to solder two flat pieces of metal together.
I am open to any suggestions, and interested to hear if you think I want to use sliver solder, or is regular 60/40 acceptable?
