The outer face of the bell sticks out 4-inches beyond the dome on the flanged axle shaft. This unit just happened to have a hat channel mounting bracket on the backside that was almost perfect. I had to tweak it just a little to get the holes to line up with two of the studs in the hub. I installed two longer studs in the hub and installed a heavy hex nut on each of these to tighten down the axle shaft. I then used two more heavy hex nuts to mount the bell to the studs.

I remove the two outer heavy hex nuts and the entire bell assembly comes off to make room to remove the tire and wheel assembly.

More images at the link. Thanks to Phil Street and t137.com for hosting. Some images are of my disassembled spare bell. The mounting tabs on the back of it are not correct to use on a Power Wagon.

I have observed most people ignoring a backing vehicle with an electronic backup alarm sounding. When I back up with my B3-PW, everyone who is close enough to hear turns to look. It is a foreign sounds that really gets the attention. Perfect for my flatbed B3-PW which regularly sees heavy and/or bulky loads with full side boards, and is hard for me to see if someone or something is behind me as I back up.
