yes, the sidewalls are more flexible than bias, i had a 2100 lb arc lamp motor generator in the back for weight (now its in scruffy the m37 w/ plow, i used to air them down to 25lbs, never spun a tube they rode great at 10 ply rating, i think the 12 plys would be way too stiff especially in our low temps thus the rubber tread wouldnt contact ice as well...even an 8 ply bias would be pretty stiff...plus they are probably nylon cord thus they wouldnt get round until you get done plowing for the day! i had terrible luck with the sta super lugs, too much like a street tire! i use european ndt tires on scruffy they have read like our ndts except the have a large rain groove through the center circumference and are factory siped, ive never had any problems plowing with them...and they are on german rims with the step built in around the center...it protects the locking hubs well! (they came off a pinzgauer 4x4 military) i love em!
