thanks vaughn, thats some useful info, back in the day i did many v8 conversions and olther suff routinely stick welding home made motor and tranny mounts, i wasnt the best welder and inevitably they usually failed at one time or another...later when i got into heavy truck work and towing i had occaision to see accidents caused by frame repair failures...usually the frame would break next to the weld or very close to it! i saw this on 1/2 ton pickups on up...not a pretty sight! anyway keep up the information pipeline! take care
