I have owned at least 10 trucks with MU2 winches and most of them came to me without the engagement lever. I suspect they got sheared off by misuse. Possibly due to infrequent use everything got stuck and somebody tried to convince it to move with a bar or a hammer. Some people like to do things like that. :) Or an errant cable rewind?
